An off-duty policeman that was recovering from a serious knee injury was pushed from a train as it pulled into a station. The man that pushed PC Stuart Steele was behaving in a drunk and disorderly manner when he assaulted the officer in October. 28-year-old Lee Martin Jones admitted assault and has since been placed on community order – under which he will be supervised for six months. A cyclist is suing Gwynedd council for £50,000 damages after his bike hit a pothole in 2009. 56-year-old Melvyn Griffiths from Blaenau Ffestiniog was left with serious head injuries and broken bones after he was thrown over the handlebars of his bike when it hit a pothole. After his bid for damages was rejected last year, he has been granted permission to challenge this decision. A museum boss has been awarded £500,000 in compensation for the trauma she experienced when paramedics were seventeen minutes late to reach her after dislocating her knee on the bus home. 50-year-old Ceri Leigh worked for the National History Museum organising exhibitions. In 2008 she dislocated her knee when getting on a bus at Wimbledon Station after getting trapped between two seats. Championship striker Dexter Blackstock is seeking compensation following a life-threatening injury on the football pitch. Mr Blackstock is currently seeking immense High Court damages from Cardiff City and the player that committed the negligent tackle, Seyi Olofinjana. 27-year-old Blackstock is seeking compensation of more than £50,000 for the tackle that occurred in November 2010.
